From Reclaimed Clay to Handmade Ceramics

Reclaimed clay

Dried clay scaps, ready to be reused.

Prepairing the clay

Mixed with water and dried on plaster boards to get the right consistency.

Wedging

Prepairing the clay for shaping.

Shaping by hand

Shaped by hand into one-of-a-kind pieces. No molds, no perfect symmetry. 

Slow drying

Allowing the clay to dry evenly and prevent cracks.

The first firing

Each piece is fired at 950°C, transforming the dried clay into durable bisque ware, ready for glazing.

Glazing

Applying the final surface by hand.

The final firing

The bisque fired and glazed pieces are fired again at 1220°C. Transforming each piece into finished stoneware.
